Online visual timetable

I’ve added a visual timetable view in the pPlan web App

Motivated by wanting a visual timetable on mobile devices to help our youngest child (Year 1) visualise their day – I’ve added the simple visual view (of a goal) to pPlan as shown in the image below. Images can now be added to any Goal and any of the tasks/activities associated with that goal. In the example shown here the goal is simply named “Monday” and each activity has an image uploaded to represent the activity:

1) Have breakfast
2) Travel to school
3) At school……

This digital visual timetable is to complement the physical laminated card ones we have already created to help them understand the order of the day, and reduce their anxiety.  Examples of physical visual aids can be seen on these web pages:

The pPlan project is mostly intended to support High school plus ages – with career & education planning/discovery, wellbeing, and self-awareness.  But being a person who likes to see information visually – it was always my intention to allow images to be added to all pPlan artefacts by users –  so helping our youngest child was a good motivator to get started developing this.

The timetable views shown in this image are not publicly accessible but are technically the same as the following United Nations sustainable development goal views  – which are publicly accessible:

“Goal 15. Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests…”
